Alessandro Dal Buoni & Studio Temp

Alessandro Dal Buoni curated by Studio Temp

Like a cold shower or a December dip in a Norwegian fjørd, the dead of winter can be magical at making one feel most alive. Cold means a rush of blood inwards and upwards, which is a boon to cerebral creatives.
The (January) inauguration of the Wonder Room was icy in the best of ways, to be sure.

Adorned with the work of Alessandro dal Buoni & Studio Temp, pared down to just a few strong and striking pieces, the hybrid space proved its caliber as an ideal canvas for the showcasing of an undiluted vision. Dal Buoni’s is at once distant and alluringly beautiful, its subtlety inviting reflection and speculation.

While the soft-spoken artist mingled with the well-dressed and very international coterie, an osmosis of conversation flowed continually between the gallery space and outside onto Via Tortona. Good beer. Nice hairdos (and mushroom space heaters to keep those hairdos defrosted). Delightful evening.

Take a bow, Wonder Room. You’re quite the host.
